CONDITIONS AND RULES FOR KINGFISHER LAKE  2016 - 2017

MEMBERSHIP: Is by invitation of the syndicate leader, but can be terminated by the syndicate Leader without a refund of fees paid, if in the syndicate leader's opinion, the member's rule breaking or behaviour merits immediate expulsion from the syndicate. The syndicate leader's decision is final.
Members must be aged 18 years or older. Membership runs from 1st April 2016 to 1st April 2017 and costs £300.00 payable in advance .New members will be charged £10 deposit for lake key.
There is no close season. However, if several fish are in the process of spawning, it is possible that the lake will be closed until spawning has finished. Any closures will be kept as short as possible and as far as practicable will be notified to members.
Syndicate membership cards must be carried at all times. Members should act as bailiffs as appropriate and ask anyone who they think may not have the right to be there, to produce their membership card. However, do not risk your own personal safety.
Inform the syndicate leader or bailiff of any trespassing, poaching or rule breaking as quickly as possible.
Members and their guests use the site and lakes entirely at their own risk. The syndicate leader or owner will not accept responsibility for any losses, damage, injuries, etc. howsoever caused that may occur.


ALL GUESTS: To be booked only with the syndicate leader Simon either by phone (07957663956) or by email.(kingfisherlakes@btinternet.com).Please pay for your guests in advance of them fishing.
DOGS; Only well behaved quiet dogs are allowed onto the fishery and any dog mess must be removed from the fishery, poop and scoop please!


FISHING SESSIONS: Anglers sessions must not exceed 72 hours (3 nights) they must then remove themselves and their tackle from the fishery and not return until the following day. Sessions longer than 3 nights and up to a maximum of 7nights can be pre booked with the permission of the syndicate leader...
SWIMS :Anglers can leave their swim for up to 3 hours without having to remove their tackle. Baits must be wound in during any absences from the swim. If an angler fails to return within 3 hours, his gear may be removed from the swim in order to let another angler move in.
Fish where you want from your swim. However, if anybody else arrives you are only entitled to fish the area sensibly covered from your swim. The onus is on you to remove your tackle, without comment, from water covered by any other swim.


STALKING: Is allowed but not in someone else's swim. Use your commonsense.


BOAT: . Life jacket to be worn at all times. Only use the boat for snagged fish.


NO GO AREA'S: Strictly no fishing from the island


NO SWIMMING; Or wading is permitted.


NO CLIMBING:  Any trees or fence's


ROD LIMIT :  Is a maximum of two rods per angler all year.

 


TACKLE AND BAITS....


PLASTIC BAIT: No plastic or imitation baits allowed.


HOOKS: Microbarb or barbless to be used only.  No bent hooks, or hooks with "extended shanks" made from bent are allowed. Long curved-shank ("Nailer" type) hooks are fine; if using these then carry and use wire cutters to aid unhooking in the event that a hook has turned and "double penetrated" the fish.

 

GENERAL: Braid is banned, Shrink tube is fine, Leads must easily discharge from rigs, or if a helicopter or chod style rig is used, the hooklink must easily slide off the tubing or leadcore in the event of a breakage.

 

RIGS: May be subject to checks by bailiffs or the syndicate leader.

 

OTHER INFO, PLEASE READ!: All particle baits must be fully cooked and not just soaked. Properly prepared nuts and oily trout and/or halibut pellets can be used in moderation .Sea baits, or artificial lures only, to be used for pike fishing. Wire traces of at least 18 inches long to be used together with semi-barbless hooks of size 6 or smaller. No free lining for Pike. Always use a running or fixed lead with buzzers and drop off indicators. Pike fishing only between the months of November - April inclusive. Gate's must be kept locked and shut at all times, if not access to the lake will be denied.VEGETATION: No cutting of any vegetation or trees at all. Any problems with trees etc contact the syndicate leader or bailiffs as soon as possibleFISH HANDLING: Best practice; fish handling is expected from all anglers to ensure that while you get great photos of your hard earned captures, the fish's welfare is always paramount. CARP CRADLES AND FLOATATION CRADLES MUST ALWAYS BE USED . Fish must be kept in a CARP CRADLE on the bank and returned to the water in a FLOATATION sling or CRADLE Fish must never be carried by hand. Any problems with the fish let the syndicate leader or the bailiffs know as soon as possible.
